This article details hotfix 1012373 for Laserfiche Server 8.1.1. This fix resolves the following issues:
- Laserfiche may not correctly reassign page numbers when you attempt to move a non-sequential set of pages within a document. This can cause pages not to display in client applications. This issue is now resolved. (53660)
- Laserfiche performs a database query that gathers statistics at the end of every search. This extra query can negatively affect search performance. In addition, when using Oracle, this issue can cause Laserfiche to create an excessive number of connections to the Oracle database. This issue is now resolved. (53515)
- The Laserfiche Server service may not properly start up when tracing is enabled. This issue is now resolved. (53659)
- Laserfiche may not successfully merge field definitions if there are a large number of field values involved. This issue can occur when using Microsoft SQL Server 2008. This issue is now resolved. (53566)
- In certain situations, Laserfiche may not correctly display the default field value for a field if the default value is empty. (52921)
- Laserfiche may not properly return the correct set of search results for searches involving the Not Equal To (<>) search operator. This issue can occur when searching for fields that have a field width definition of 100 characters or longer. This issue is now resolved. (52925)
- In rare situations, Laserfiche can become unstable when opening a document stored in an encrypted or compressed volume. This issue is now resolved. (53806)
The fix is an updated version of cr.dll (version 8.1.1.606).
Note: This hotfix is superseded by cr.dll (version 8.1.1.615). Please see Knowledge Base article 1012394.
