Summary

When running a session with multiple Zone OCR processes or multiple Rotate (automatically) image enhancements, Quick Fields 8.0.1 may unnecessarily start a large number of BPOmniOCR81.exe processes.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0.1. The fix is a self-contained .exe file that updates the necessary files. The patch updates the following files to version 8.0.1.210:

• Laserfiche.BatchProcessor.Processes.dll
• Laserfiche.QuickFields.Processes.dll

Note: The hotfix .exe file is included in the Quick Fields 8.0.1 download package on the Laserfiche Support Site for all downloads after September 15, 2009. The autorun will contain an option to install this hotfix.

To update Quick Fields 8.0.1

1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

Hotfix_SCR51672.zip

2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
3. Double-click the extracted "KB1012337 - Quick Fields 8.0.1.210.exe" to load the hotfix installer.
4. Click Update to install the hotfix.
