Summary

In an evaluation installation of Laserfiche Rio 8.1, License Manager 8.1 may not properly generate legacy style (.lic) license files. Laserfiche product installations will not accept these license files during the installation process.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for License Manager 8.1. The fix is an updated version of LicenseManager.exe (version 8.1.0.205).

To update License Manager 8.1

1. Stop the License Manager service.
2. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the hotfix.

3. Replace your existing version of LicenseManager.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. The file is located in the License Manager installation folder. By default, the installation folder is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\License Manager 8."
4. Start the License Manager service.
