Summary

The Quick Fields 8 Migration Utility may not properly handle certain legacy sessions that contain a Lookup process. You will receive an error message stating that there was an unexpected error and the utility will automatically close.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Quick Fields 8.0.1. and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche Quick Fields.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0. The fix is an updated version of QFMigrator.exe (version 8.0.0.520).

To update Quick Fields 8.0

1. Close any open instances of Quick Fields 8 and the Quick Fields 8 Migration Utility.
2. Click the following link to download a zip file with the updated migration utility.

3. Replace your existing version of QFMigrator.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, the file is located in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields 8.0\Utilities."
