A "Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger" Dialog Box May Appear When Changing A List Field Value.

Summary

When you attempt to change the value of a list field, you may receive a Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger dialog box prompting you to load a debugger. The field value is correctly saved after closing the pop-up dialog box.

This issue can occur on computers where Visual Studio is configured for Just-In-Time script debugging.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 8.1.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Workaround

Configure Internet Explorer to disable script debugging.

To disable Internet Explorer's script debugging

  1. Load Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Under the Browsing section, select the Disable script debugging (Other) option.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.
