Laserfiche Scanning Options May Not Save After You Close Laserfiche Scanning.

Summary

Laserfiche Scanning 8.1 may not properly save settings set in the Options dialog box after you close Laserfiche Scanning. This requires you to reconfigure preferences the next time you load Laserfiche Scanning.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 8.1.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Scanning 8.1. The fix is an updated version of Scanning.Base.dll (version 8.1.0.502).

To update Laserfiche Scanning 8.1

  1. Close any instances of Laserfiche Scanning and the Laserfiche Client.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.
  3. Hotfix_SCR48524.zip

  4. Copy the updated version of Scanning.Base.dll to the installation path for Laserfiche Scanning. By default, the path is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client 8\Scanning."

Important: This hotfix requires LFScan.exe (version 8.1.0.430) or later. LFScan.exe (version 8.1.0.430) is included in the June 3, 2009 release of the Laserfiche Client 8.1 installation package. See Knowledge Base article 1012240 for more information.
