Summary

In certain situations, the "Inherit filter expression from parent folder" option will not properly propagate the filter expression correctly.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 8.1.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Server 8.1. The fix includes updated versions of the following files:

• cr.dll (version 8.1.0.489)
• ms-schema.sql
• ms-upg10.sql
• ora-schema.sql
• ora-upg10.sql

You must also manually update any existing Laserfiche 8.1 SQL databases using one of the following SQL script files.

• For Microsoft SQL Server
• For Oracle

To update Laserfiche Server 8.1

1. Stop the Laserfiche Server 8 service.
2. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the hotfix.

3. Replace your existing version of cr.dll with the updated version included in the zip file. The file is located in the Laserfiche Server installation folder. By default, the installation folder is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server."
4. Copy the .sql files into the sql subfolder located in the Laserfiche Server installation folder. By default, the path is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server\sql."
5. Start the Laserfiche Server 8 service.
