The Quick Fields 8 Migration Utility May Be Unable To Convert Legacy Sessions That Incorrectly Contain Multiple Zones In The Same Process.

Summary

The Quick Fields 8 Migration Utility may not properly handle legacy sessions where a process incorrectly contains invalid elements. You will receive an error message stating that there was an unexpected error and the utility will automatically close.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Quick Fields 8.0.1. and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche Quick Fields.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0. The fix is an updated version of QFMigrator.exe (version 8.0.0.510).

To update Quick Fields 8.0

  1. Close any open instances of Quick Fields 8 and the Quick Fields 8 Migration Utility.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file with the updated migration utility.

    3. Hotfix_SCR49480.zip

  3. Replace your existing version of QFMigrator.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, the file is located in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields 8.0\Utilities."
