A "The records center could not be found or accessed." Error Occurs When Sending Documents To The Laserfiche Records Center.

Summary

When you attempt to send documents to the Laserfiche Records Center, you may receive the following error message:

    The records center could not be found or accessed.

In addition, the Windows Event Viewer may contain entries with descriptions that are similar to the following message:

    URL: /LFSPRecordsCenter/LFWSSIntegrationService.asmx An unhandled exception has occurred.
    Message: Thread was being aborted.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Web Access 8.0.1. The fix is an updated version of LF_WSS_Web_Service.dll (version 8.0.2.657).

To update Web Access 8.0.1

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

    2. Hotfix_SCR48868.zip

  2. Rename your existing version of LF_WSS_Web_Service.dll in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Sharepoint Records Center\ImportService\bin."
  3. Copy the hotfix into the above folder.
