Summary

When using the Repository Creation/Registration Wizard on a non-English version of Windows, there may be a display issue with the DBMS drop-down list on the "Connect to a Laserfiche Server" step. Selecting the Microsoft SQL Server option may prompt you for Oracle settings, and vice versa.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 8.1.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche 8.1. The fix is an updated version of MakeLfRp.exe (version 8.1.0.471).

To update the Laserfiche Repository Creation/Registration Wizard

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.
  2. Hotfix_SCR48900_win32.zip

  3. Replace your existing version of MakeLfRp.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. The file is located in the "Admin" subfolder of your Laserfiche Client installation folder. By default, the path is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client 8\Admin."
