Summary

The Laserfiche Server installation process for Laserfiche Avante 8.1, Laserfiche Team 8.1, and Laserfiche United 8.1 include a step for product activation using an activation key. The Activation Tool generates a lf.licx license file for your Laserfiche Server. By default, the license file is saved to "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server."

When using an activation key to activate your Laserfiche Server, you will not receive a separate Laserfiche Client license file. After you finish activating the Laserfiche Server, use the resulting lf.licx file for the Laserfiche Client installation process.

Note: A legacy style license (.lic) for Laserfiche Client is still included in the lf.lic download package available on the Laserfiche Support Site.
