The Laserfiche Server May Become Unstable When Performing Within Folder Searches.

Summary

There is no longer a potential for instability when performing a within folder search. (47567)

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 8.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Server 8.0.2. The fix includes updated versions of cr.dll and lfs.exe (version 8.0.2.868).

To update Laserfiche Server 8.0.2

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Server service.
  2. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the hotfix.
  3. Hotfix_SCR47567_win32.zip

    Hotfix_SCR47567_x64.zip

  4. Replace your existing versions of cr.dll and lfs.exe with the updated versions included in the zip file. By default, the files are located at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server."
  5. Start the Laserfiche Server service.
