Summary

This article documents the known issues with Laserfiche Quick Fields 8.0.

• When configuring an identification process's condition to be based on a date that falls within a range (e.g., between 1/1/09 and 2/1/09), you must manually modify the second date. If you accept the default value, which will be the current date, you will receive the following error: "The second value cannot be empty."
• Quick Fields does not run in unattended mode if it cannot connect to the Laserfiche License Manager.
• When using the Field Verification real-time process on a numeric column, the field will not be marked as invalid if the operator enters a non-numeric value into the field.
• When searching for scanned documents, all of the available columns may not be visible if your search results contain one or more documents with long names. The dialog box cannot be resized.
• Selecting Configuration Undo after deleting a process will not restore the corresponding local image enhancements.
• If a document's text contains non-ASCII characters (e.g., Chinese characters), the text will not display correctly if a Quick Fields session performs a Substitution process on the text.
• When deleting a process profile or a process inside a process profile, the next profile/process does not automatically become selected. This allows you to perform a delete action on an item that does not actually exist. As a workaround, always manually select an item in the Profile tab before pressing Delete.
• If you import a session and save it to your computer, the session will be listed twice on the Start Page. As a workaround, delete the session listed closest to the bottom.
• If you have a version other than Adobe Reader 9.1 installed, Quick Fields may consume a significant portion of your machine's processing power when performing the text extraction process on a PDF file. Upgrading to 9.1 will prevent this from occurring.
• Processes will be tested on the currently displayed sample image, rather than the page assigned to the process. When testing processes that are assigned to different pages, you can change the displayed image or scan a small number of representative documents to make sure the process works as intended.
