Summary

When you attempt to add a repository using the Web Access 8 Configuration Page, clicking the Add button causes the button to display Processing. However, the process never completes and the button remains displaying Processing.

Cause

The anonymous user identity or the Web Access 8 application pool identity does not have sufficient permissions to edit the XML configuration files located in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Web Access 8\Web files\Config."

Resolution

If Web Access 8 is configured for anonymous access, manually set rights on "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Web Access 8\Web Files\Config\WebAccessConfig.xml" so that the anonymous access user account can modify the XML file.

If Web Access 8 is configured for Windows authentication, manually set rights on "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Web Access 8\Web Files\Config\WebAccessConfig.xml" so that the appropriate users can modify the XML file.
