    General database error.

You may also receive error code 9008 with the following accompanying message:

    Error executing SQL command.

Resolution

Error code 9008 means that Laserfiche was unable to properly perform an action that required access to the SQL database.

Try the following:

  • Check to see that the Laserfiche Server service is logged in using a Windows account that has sufficient permissions to the DBMS and has enough permissions to write to the hard disk.
  • If you are using MSDE or an Express edition of Microsoft SQL Server and you migrated from Laserfiche Server 6 or 7, check to see that all expansion databases are attached.
  • If you are using Oracle, check to see that you are using a supported version of Oracle. Laserfiche supports Oracle 9i (9.2.0.6+), Oracle 10g (10.1.0.2+, 10.2.0.3+), or Oracle 11g (11.1.0.6+).
