Summary

Laserfiche may not properly display search options in the search pane when using a Chinese Edition of Windows and Internet Explorer 6.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Client 8.0.2 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Client 8.0.1. The fix includes updated versions of ContextMenu.js (last modified on October 3, 2008) and SearchMainPanel.htm (last modified on October 3, 2008).

To update Laserfiche Client 8.0.1

  1. Close any open instances of the Laserfiche Client.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the updated files.

    Hotfix_SCR42086.zip

  3. Replace the existing versions of ContextMenu.js and SearchMainPanel.htm located in your Laserfiche Client installation folder. The default installation folder is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client 8."

Install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
