Summary

The migration process may fail with the following error message in the migration log:

Error: 'Current filing system' not found in location table in source database.

Cause

The migration utility expects the location with LocationID 1 to be named "Current filing system."

Resolution

This issue is resolved in the Laserfiche 8.1 Migration Utility. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Workaround

Rename the location back to "Current filing system" in your Laserfiche 7 repository. Then perform the migration. When the migration is complete, you can rename the location to the desired name in your newly created Laserfiche 8 repository.

You can use the Laserfiche Administration Console to rename the location.

You can also directly edit the Location table in your Laserfiche 7 database. Open the Location table and make sure the name for LocationID=1 is set to:
