Summary

When installing Laserfiche, you may receive the following error message:

Error 26251. Failed to register DLL with PerfMon.
(-2147023886 C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server\lfftsperfc.ini )

Cause

The performance counter library may be corrupted.

Resolution

Rebuild the performance counter library.

To rebuild the performance counter library

1. Load a command prompt.
   1. From the Start menu, select Run.
   2. Type the following and then press ENTER:

      cmd

2. At the command prompt, type the following and then press ENTER:

   cd \windows\system32

3. Type the following and then press ENTER:

   lodctr /R
