Summary

When upgrading from Laserfiche Server 8.0 to 8.0.1, you may receive the following error message:

Please insert the disk: Laserfiche Server 8.0 Installation Disk:1

Similarly, when upgrading from Laserfiche Client 8.0 to 8.0.1, you may receive the following error message:

Please insert disk1

Cause

Windows Installer may expect the installation package for minor updates to be located in the same path as the original installation package. For example, if you originally installed Laserfiche from a local hard drive and are now running the installation from a DVD drive, you may receive the listed error message.

Workaround 1

Copy the installation to any local hard drive and run the installation from the local hard drive.

Workaround 2

Uninstall your current installation of Laserfiche before installing the newer version.
