This article documents how to configure Firefox to support Kerberos authentication.
To enable Kerberos support in Firefox
- Load Firefox
- In the URL bar, type the following to load Firefox's configuration page:
about:config
- Locate the following two preferences:
- network.negotiate-auth.delegation-uris
- network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris
- Add the name of your Web server to both preferences.
To enable Kerberos support in Internet Explorer
- Load Internet Explorer
- Click the Tools icon and select Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
- Select Local intranet, then click Sites
- In the Local intranet dialog box, click Advanced.
- In the text box under Add this website to the zone: enter the URL of your Web server and click Add. Your Web server should now appear in the text box under Websites:.
- Click Close.
