Summary

Laserfiche Snapshot 7 is compatible with Laserfiche Client 8. However, after a default installation of Snapshot 7, you may receive the following error message when trying to load Snapshot from Laserfiche Client 8:

SnapDriver failed to load.
Error loading library. [6516]

Cause

The Snapshot 7 installation package has no knowledge of the Laserfiche Client 8 installation. By default, the Snapshot 7 installation installs snapdriver70.dll to "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client." However, the default installation folder for Laserfiche Client 8 is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client 8."

Resolution

Manually move SnapDriver70.dll to the Laserfiche Client 8 installation folder.
