Summary

When using Laserfiche ScanConnect, Laserfiche Scanning and Quick Fields may not successfully close when you exit the program. The LFScan.exe or QFContainer.exe processes remain running and you must manually end the processes from the Windows Task Manager.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Quick Fields 7.1.2 and Laserfiche Scanning 7.2.1. The fix includes the following files:

• LFScan.exe (version 7.2.1.5)
• QFContainer.exe (version 7.1.2.5)
• LFIsisEng.dll (version 7.2.1.1)

To update Quick Fields 7.1.2

1. Close any open instances of Laserfiche Quick Fields.
2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.
   Hotfix_SCR36299_36302.zip
3. Replace your existing version of LFIsisEng.dll with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, LFIsisEng.dll is located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LF ISIS Engine."
4. Register LFIsisEng.dll.
   1. Click Start and then click Run.
   2. Type the following and then click OK to register LFIsisEng.dll:

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LF ISIS Engine\LFIsisEng.dll"

5. Replace your existing version of QFContainer.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, QFContainer.exe is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields."

To update Laserfiche Scanning 7.2.1

1. Close any open instances of Laserfiche Scanning.
2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.
   Hotfix_SCR36299_36302.zip
3. Replace your existing version of LFIsisEng.dll with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, LFIsisEng.dll is located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LF ISIS Engine."
1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. Type the following and then click OK to register LFIsisEng.dll:

   regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LF ISIS Engine\LFIsisEng.dll"

4. Replace your existing version of LFScan.exe with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, LFScan.exe is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Scanning."
