Summary
Unexpected termination of the Laserfiche Server can potentially corrupt the search .IDX files. If the search .IDX files become sufficiently corrupt, the Laserfiche Server will not start and you will receive Error 1067 when you try to manually start the Laserfiche Server service.
Cause
When you restart the computer hosting Laserfiche Server, Windows may immediately terminate the Laserfiche Server service instead of giving the Laserfiche Server sufficient time to properly shut down. Immediately terminating the Laserfiche Server while it is attempting to write information to disk may result in slight corruption of the search .IDX files.
Repeated occurrences of this type of search index file corruption can eventually prevent the Laserfiche Server from starting up.
More Information
When restarting the computer hosting Laserfiche Server, manually stop the Laserfiche Server service first. Then shut down or restart the computer.
