Summary

When you select the ScanConnect option in the Session Settings dialog box, you may receive the following error message:

Failed to create (LFISISEng.BPEngine.1) object. The Laserfiche ScanConnect product is unlicensed.

Cause

In certain situations, the installation may not copy the needed ScanConnect license block into your Quick Fields license file.

Resolution

Manually copy and paste text from your ScanConnect license file into your Quick Fields license file.

To manually add the ScanConnect license block

1. Using a text editor, open your Laserfiche ScanConnect license file and your Laserfiche Quick Fields license file.
2. copy the ScanConnect license block and paste it into your Quick Fields license file.
3. Save your change to the Quick Fields license file.

Note: The Quick Fields license file is located in your Quick Fields installation folder. By default, Quick Fields is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields."
