Summary

A document is stuck in the printer queue for your Snapshot printer. You are unable to remove the print job using the Windows printer manager.

Resolution

The print job may be corrupted. Manually delete the temporary print job files from your Windows printer spooler folder.

To delete printer spooler files

  1. Stop the Print Spooler service.
    1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
    3. Double-click Services.
    4. Scroll down and select Print Spooler.
    5. From the Action menu, click Stop.
  2. Browse to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS" and delete the .spl and .shd files that show the approximate time and date of the corrupted print job.
  3. Start the Print Spooler service.
    1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
    3. Double-click Services.
    4. Scroll down and select Print Spooler.
    5. From the Action menu, click Start.
