An "Invalid pointer." Error Occurs When Starting Laserfiche Scanning.

Summary

When you attempt to load Laserfiche Scanning, you may receive the following message prompt:

    Documents processed by a previous instance of this session were not saved. Would you like to recover these processed documents?"

Selecting either option may either result in either Laserfiche Scanning becoming unresponsive or you may receive the following error message:

    Invalid pointer

Resolution

Remove any Laserfiche Scanning.bpd files from your Windows temporary folder. Then run a repair of Laserfiche Scanning. By default, your Windows temporary folder is located at "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\local Settings\Temp."
