Summary

The Laserfiche Client allows you to select a portion of an image in a document and copy and paste that portion of the image into your Microsoft Office application.

In earlier versions of Laserfiche Client 7, this was the default behavior. Later versions of Laserfiche Client 7 modify this default behavior such that if the document contains OCRed text, the default Paste option will paste the associated text. If the document does not have OCRed text, then the default Paste option will still paste the copied selected portion of the image.

You can use the Paste Special menu option to paste the copied portion of the image instead of the associated OCRed Text. In your Microsoft Office application, select the Paste Special menu option from the Edit menu. Select the Bitmap option and click OK to paste the copied image.
