Summary

When installing a Laserfiche program that includes MSDE, the installation may return the following error message during the MSDE installation:

Setup Failed to Configure the Server

Cause

This issue may occur if your computer contains data files from a previous MSDE instance with the same name and the installation attempts to create new data files in the same location.

Workaround

Move the existing MSDE Data folder to a different location or change the Data folder location.
