Summary

You cannot manually specify a field value for Date and Date/Time fields in the Import Agent Configuration Utility. Date fields are incorrectly limited to only 4 characters and Date/Time fields are incorrectly limited to only 7 characters.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Import Agent 7.0.2. The fix includes the following two files:

  • ImportAgentConfig.exe (version 7.0.2.28230)
  • TemplateControl.dll (version 7.0.0.3)

To update Import Agent 7.0.2

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Import Agent 7 service.
    1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
    3. Double-click Services.
    4. Scroll down and select the Laserfiche Import Agent 7 service.
    5. From the Action menu, point to All Tasks, and click Stop.
  2. Close any open instances of the Import Agent Configuration Utility.
  3. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.

  4. Replace your existing versions of ImportAgentConfig.exe and TemplateControl.dll with the updated versions of the files. By default, the files are located at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Import Agent 7."
  5. Start the Laserfiche Import Agent 7 service.
    1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
    3. Double-click Services.
    4. Scroll down and select the Laserfiche Import Agent 7 service.
    5. From the Action menu, point to All Tasks, and click Start.
