Laserfiche Prompts You to Save Changes to an E-mail Message After You Open, Reply, and Close the E-mail Message.

Laserfiche 7

Summary

When you open an e-mail message from Laserfiche, your associated e-mail application will load the e-mail message. If you choose to send a reply, when you close the original message, Laserfiche may prompt you on whether you wish to save changes to the original e-mail message.

Cause

When you choose to send a reply, Microsoft Outlook records that a reply was sent at the specified time. Laserfiche notes this difference from the version of the e-mail message stored in your repository and will prompt you for whether you wish to save or discard the change.

Please be aware that the change simply records that a reply was sent. If you decide to save the change, if you reopen the original e-mail message, you will notice that there is now a note at the top of the header section of the message specifying that you sent a reply at a specified date and time. The body of the reply that you sent is not stored in the original e-mail message.
