Laserfiche Opens Another Document Window When You Save Changes to Field Data If The Document Window Was Opened Through an Image Enable Search.

Summary

When you use Image Enable to perform a search that returns one document, Laserfiche will automatically open that document. If you then use that document window to make changes to field values and save your changes, Laserfiche automatically opens a second document window.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Client 7.2.1. The fix is an updated version of LF.exe (version 7.2.1.425). Laserfiche will no longer automatically load a second document window of the same document.

To update Laserfiche Client 7.2.1

  1. Close any open instances of the Laserfiche client.
  2. Click the following link to download an updated version of LF.exe (version 7.2.1.425).

  3. Replace your existing version of LF.exe with the updated version of the file. LF.exe is located in your Laserfiche Client installation folder. By default, the Laserfiche Client is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client."
