Quick Fields 7.1.2

Summary

Changes to a template are not automatically applied to document classes that use that template.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 7.1.2. The fix includes the following files:

  • BlankPage.htm
  • BPContEng.dll (version 7.1.2.4)
  • QFContainer.exe (version 7.1.2.4)

  2. Place BlankPage.htm in the HTML subfolder of your Quick Fields installation folder. By default, the path will be "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\HTML."
  3. Replace your existing versions of BPContEng.dll and QFContainer.exe located in the Quick Fields installation folder. By default, Quick Fields is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields."

You can now configure Quick Fields to automatically connect to your Laserfiche repository to retrieve template information when you first open a session.

To configure Quick Fields to automatically update template information when you load a session

  1. Load Laserfiche Quick Fields.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Preferences tab, select the Refresh all document class templates on session login option.

More Information

This hotfix also allows Quick Fields to directly write output pane information to a log file without displaying it in the output pane. This can potentially speed up processing times.

Right-click on the output pane and then select Write to Log File. If you wish to revert back to displaying information in the output pane, then Right-click on the output pane and select Write to Screen.
