Snapshot Incorrectly Creates and Runs BiCAppNT.exe When You Print to a Shared Snapshot Printer.

April 2, 2007 | KB: 1011784
Snapshot 7

Summary

When you print to a shared Snapshot printer that is installed on a different computer, Snapshot will incorrectly run BiCAppNT.exe on your local workstation. Even after the print job is complete, this binary remains running and you have to manually end the process through the Windows Task Manager. Snapshot creates this binary in your workstation's "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder.

Cause

The BiCAppNT.exe file controls loading the Laserfiche Snapshot dialog box for local print jobs. Snapshot requires this file if you are printing to a Snapshot printer that is installed on your computer. Snapshot does not require this file if you are printing to a shared Snapshot printer that is installed on a different computer on your network.

Workaround

Manually delete the BiCAppNT.exe file from your computer's "C:\WINDOWS\System32" folder.
