Summary

There are two Laserfiche Server 7.2.1 hotfixes that require modifications to external components of your Laserfiche repository. Knowledge Base article 1011713 documents a security hotfix that requires changes to two stored procedures in your SQL Server or Oracle database. Knowledge Base article 1011769 details a search hotfix which requires changes to the search index files.

Versions of LFEng.dll later than 7.2.1.410 expect your SQL database to have the updated stored procedures. Similarly, versions of LFEng.dll later than 7.2.1.425 expect your repository to have updated search index files.

If you have not previously applied the SQL database changes as documented in Knowledge Base article 1011713, you may encounter errors when copying pages from one document to another document. Your repository's error.log file may log error messages similar to the following:

    [7050] Copy pages failed (tocid=123, volid=1, dtocid=124): Procedure or function copy_pages has too many arguments specified.

If you have not previously deleted the SEARCH folder and re-indexed your repository per the instructions in Knowledge base article 1011769, you may encounter an error when logging in to the repository. Your repository's error.log file may log error messages similar to the following:

    [7364] Open repository 'YourRepository' failed: sdbOpenFiles failed. Unable to create files needed in SEARCH directory
