Summary

Agenda Manager 7.2 and 8.0 uses a signed ActiveX control in order to load the Agenda Manager scanning interface. If your Internet Explorer security settings prevent you from running ActiveX controls, you will not be able to run Agenda Manager Scanning.

Resolution

Since Agenda Manager 7.2/8.0 is designed to be an intranet website, configure your Internet Explorer security setting for the local intranet zone to either enable or prompt to run ActiveX controls.

To configure Internet Explorer security settings

1. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options to load the Internet Options dialog box.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Select the Local intranet zone.
4. Click Custom Level.
5. In the ActiveX controls and plug-ins section, set the Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins option to either Enable or Prompt.
6. Click OK

Note: Be aware that if the option is set to Prompt, when you load the item submission page, you will receive a message at the top of your Internet Explorer window asking whether you want to run the ActiveX control. Click on the message to manually choose to enable the ActiveX control.
