Summary

Certain dialog boxes in Laserfiche Client 7.2.1 may not correctly display right-to-left when using Arabic regional settings.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche client 7.2.1. The fix includes updated versions of the following files:

• LF.exe (version 7.2.1.415)
• LFAuxEl70.dll (version 7.2.1.415)
• LFMetadata72.ocx (version 7.2.0.3)
• LFCommonDialogs72.dll (version 7.2.0.3)

To update Laserfiche Client 7.2.1

1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.
   Hotfix_SCR28473_28928_28390_28785.zip
2. Close any open instances of the Laserfiche Client.
3. Replace your existing versions of LF.exe and LfAuxEl70.dll located in your Laserfiche client installation folder with the updated versions included in the zip file. By default, the Laserfiche client is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client."
4. Replace your existing versions of LFMetadata72.ocx and LFCommonDialogs72.dll located in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls" with the updated versions included in the zip file.
5. Register LFMetadata72.ocx and LFCommonDialogs72.dll.
   1. Click Start and then click Run.
   2. Type the following and click OK to register LFMetadata72.ocx.

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls\LFMetadata72.ocx"

   3. Click Start and then click Run.
   4. Type the following and click OK to register LFCommonDialogs72.dll.

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls\LFCommonDialogs72.dll"

More Information

This hotfix also adds support for using a different algorithm for calculating Hijri dates. If you find that dates that fall on the end of the month are incorrectly being bumped to the next month, you can try downloading and using this different calculation algorithm.

Note: This module requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the new algorithm.
   UmAlQuaraCOMConverter.zip
2. Extract UmAlQuaraCOMConverter.dll from the zip file and place it in your Laserfiche client installation folder. By default, the path is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client."
3. Register UmAlQuaraCOMConverter.dll.
   1. Click Start and then click Run.
   2. Type the following and then click OK to register the file.

      C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client\UmAlQuaraCOMConverter.dll"
