Laserfiche 7.2, Laserfiche 7.2.1, Scanning 7.2.1, Web Access 7.2.1

Summary

In Laserfiche Scanning 7.2 and Laserfiche Scanning 7.2.1, you cannot cycle through list field items that start with the same letter by repeatedly pressing the same letter.

Cause

Laserfiche Scanning 7.2 added support for selecting a list field item by typing multiple letters. This new feature interferes with the behavior in previous versions of Laserfiche Scanning of being able to cycle through items that begin with the same letter by repeatedly pressing the same letter.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Scanning 7.2.1. The fix is an updated version of Master.js (last modified on January 22, 2007). Laserfiche Scanning now properly incorporates both features.

To update Laserfiche Scanning 7.2.1

  1. Close any open instances of Laserfiche Scanning.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the updated version of Master.js.
    Hotfix_SCR29040.zip
  3. Replace the existing version of Master.js located in the HTML subfolder of your Laserfiche Scanning installation folder with the updated version included in the zip file. By default, the path is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Scanning\HTML."
