Summary
Laserfiche allows you to have multiple template fields with the same name as long as they belong to different templates. However, this feature affects how the Laserfiche client will sort date columns if a date-type field shares a name with a non-date-type field.
More Information
The Laserfiche client displays all fields with the same name in the same column. When a date-type field and a non-date-type field share the same name, the Laserfiche Server converts the value of the date-type field into a string. This affects how the column will sort since the values will now be sorted alphabetically instead of chronologically.
