Summary

When you attempt to send a document to your repository where pages are being appended to an existing document, you may receive the following error message:

Error: Failed to send document DocumentName.
Error: Unable to send document Path due to the following error: Object modified; cannot change lock mode.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 7.1.2. The fix is an updated version of lfapicom70.dll (version 7.0.1.18).

To update Quick Fields 7.1.2

1. Close any open instances of Quick Fields.
2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.
   Hotfix_SCR28317.zip
3. Replace the existing version of lfapicom70.dll located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFAPI" with the updated version included in the zip file.
4. Register lfapicom70.dll.
   1. Click Start and then click Run.
   2. In the Run dialog box, type the following and click OK to register the file.

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFAPI\lfapicom70.dll"
