Summary
By definition, hostnames should only contain letters, digits, or hyphens. However, because the standard is not enforced, name servers may be able to resolve hostnames that include an underscore (_) character.
Be aware that there may be unexpected issues if you choose to have a server name that includes underscore characters. For example, Laserfiche web products may not fully function if you attempt to use the hostname to browse to your Web Access, WebLink or Agenda Manager website.
Workaround
Rename your web server such that the hostname does not contain underscore characters. If this is not possible, instead of specifying the hostname as the URL in your web browser, use the IP address of the web server.
