WebLink 7.0.5

Summary

When WebLink 7.0.5 is configured to use the Laserfiche Firewall Compatibility Component, you may receive the following error message when viewing a document:

    Parameter is incorrect.

Cause

WebLink 7.0.5 was updated to utilize different versions of the Document Processor component depending on the version of the Laserfiche Server. However, this feature is dependent on an internal function that is incompatible in an FCC environment.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for WebLink 7.0.5. The fix includes the following files:

  • AssemblyInfo.vb (last modified on September 26, 2006)
  • MyWeblink.aspx (last modified on September 26, 2006)
  • MyWebLink.aspx.vb (last modified on September 26, 2006)
  • WebLink7.dll (version 7.0.5.357)
  • WebLinkControls.dll (version 7.0.5.357)

This hotfix allows WebLink 7.0.5 to function in an FCC environment. However, users with the See through redactions entry access right that are connecting to a Laserfiche 7.1.x/7.2 repository will not be able to choose to include redactions when exporting documents. Similar to the behavior when connecting to a Laserfiche 7.0.x repository, the associated option on the MyWebLink page will be hidden when connecting through FCC. This restriction only affects WebLink when connecting through FCC.
