After upgrading to Laserfiche Server 7.2, you may notice a negative performance impact on Laserfiche Workflow Suite.
The interaction between Workflow Suite and Laserfiche Server 7.2 can potentially generate an excess number of audit events. This creates a large backlog for Workflow Suite to process, thus increasing processing times.
This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Workflow Suite 7.0.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Workflow Suite.
There is a fix available for Workflow Suite 7. The fix includes updated versions of the following files:
- DBInterface.jar (last modified on August 18, 2006)
- EmailNotification.jar (last modified on August 17, 2006)
- WorkDistribution.jar (last modified on August 17, 2006)
- WorkFlowSuite.jar (last modified on August 17, 2006)
To update Workflow Suite 7
- Stop the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
- Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
- Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
- From the Action menu, click Stop.
- Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.
Hotfix_SCR27499.zip
- Replace the DBInterface.jar and WorkFlowSuite.jar files located in the Server Automation installation folder with the ones included in the zip file. By default, Server Automation is installed at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation."
- Replace the EmailNotification.jar and WorkDistribution.jar files located in the Agents subfolder of your Server Automation installation folder with the ones included in the zip file. By default, the Agents subfolder is located at "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation\Agents."
- Start the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
- Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
- Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
- From the Action menu, click Start.
Note: You must replace, move, or change the file extension for the existing versions of EmailNotification.jar and WorkDistribution.jar. Do not simply rename the existing versions and leave them in the "ServerAutomation" folder. Otherwise, Workflow Suite will load both versions of the files and corrupt your Workflow installation.
