Web Access Scanning Does Not Support Communications on Non-Standard Ports.

Summary

Web Access Scanning will not function when the Web Access server is configured to use a port other than the default HTTP or HTTPS ports.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Web Access Scanning 7.2.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Scanning.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Web Access Scanning 7.2. The fix is an updated version of BPConnection72.dll (last modified on June 16, 2006).

To update Web Access Scanning

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.
    Hotfix_SCR26524.zip
  2. On the scanning work station, extract BPConnection72.dll from the downloaded zip file and replace the existing version located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor" with the updated version included in the zip file.
  3. Register the new file.
    1. Click Start and then click Run.
    2. In the Run dialog box, type the following and then click OK to register the file:

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\BPConnection72.dll"
