Summary

Using "Send to Laserfiche" to send documents to your repository from Microsoft Word may result in an "Error 6000" error if you are using an IFilter to extract text from the document.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche client 7.2.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of the Laserfiche client.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for this issue. The fix is included in an updated version of LFOffice72.dll (version 7.2.0.2).

To update Laserfiche Client 7.2

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix:
    Hotfix_SCR27093.zip
  2. Replace the existing version of LFOffice72.dll (located by default at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFOffice) with the version included in the zip file.
  3. Register LFOffice72.dll.
    1. Click Start and then click Run.
    2. In the Run dialog box, type the following and then click Ok:
      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFOffice\LFOffice72.dll"
  4. You will need to log out of Windows and log back in for the fix to take effect.
