A "(null) [6000]" Error Occurs When Using the Send to Laserfiche Option from Microsoft Outlook.

Summary

When you use the Send to Laserfiche option from Microsoft Outlook and have the Extract text from electronic document option enabled on the Import to Laserfiche dialog box, you may receive the following error message:

    (null) [6000]

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche client 7.2.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of the Laserfiche client.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche 7.2. The fix includes updated versions of the following files:

  • LFDocInterfaces72.dll (version 7.2.0.2)
  • DocumentProcessor72.dll (version 7.2.0.2)

To update Laserfiche client 7.2

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix files.
    Hotfix_SCR26601.zip
  2. Extract LFDocInterfaces72.dll to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls.
  3. Extract DocumentProcessor72.dll to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFObjects.
  4. Register the two files.
    1. Click Start and then click Run.
    2. Type the following and then click OK to register both files:

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls\LFDocInterfaces72.dll" "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFObjects\DocumentProcessor72.dll"
