When you use your web browser to browse to the Web Access Website, you may receive the following error message:

The Windows user used to authenticate to IIS does not have sufficient DCOM permissions to access the Laserfiche Server.
Make sure that the Windows user authenticating to IIS has sufficient DCOM permissions to access the Laserfiche Server.
To configure DCOM security for the Laserfiche Server
- Click Start and then click Run
- In the Run dialog box, type the following and then click OK to load the Component Services management console.

- Expand Console Root.
- Expand Component Services.
- Expand Computers.
- Expand My Computer.
- Expand DCOM Config.
- Scroll down and select "Laserfiche 7.x."
- From the Action menu, click Properties.
- In the Laserfiche 7.x Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.
- In the Launch and Activation Permissions section, select Customize and click Edit.
- If your Web Access virtual directory is configured for anonymous access, make sure that the Windows user you specified for anonymous access is listed in the Launch Permission dialog box. If not click Add and add that Windows user.
- Give that user the Local Activation and Remote Activation permissions.
- Click OK to close the Launch Permission dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Laserfiche 7.x Properties dialog box.
