Web Access allows you to specify a URL that links to a specific document.

In order to directly view a document, users can pass a query with the necessary parameters to the DocView.asp page. The URL syntax is as follows:

http://hostname/Laserfiche/docview.asp?id=y&dbid=db

Hostname is the name of the computer hosting Web Access. The value y specifies the ID of the desired document. The value db specifies the dbid value of the Web Access repository configuration you want to use.

Note: You can view the dbid for a repository configuration by loading the Web Access Administrator's Utility.

Note: You can view the ID number for a document by configuring the Web Access contents pane to display the ID column.
