Summary

Workflow Suite cannot execute any rules that contain Arabic characters.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Workflow Suite 7.0.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Workflow Suite.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Workflow Suite 7.0. The fix includes the following updated files:

  • RegistryKey.dll (last modified on November 14, 2005)
  • AuditEvents.jar (last modified on October 25, 2005)
  • EventDB.jar (last modified on October 25, 2005)
  • WDAgentConfig.exe (last modified on November 14, 2005)
  • Route.ocx (last modified on November 01, 2005)
  • Target.ocx (last modified on November 02, 2005)
  • WDManager.exe (last modified on November 15, 2005)

To update Workflow Suite 7.0

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
    1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
    2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    3. From the Action menu, click Stop.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the updated files.
    Arabic_Workflow7_Patch.zip
  3. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  4. Browse to the location where you extracted the files and double-click Workflow.bat. This batch file assumes that Work Distribution Agent and Work Distribution Manager are installed at C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation and C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\WorkDistributionManager respectively.
  5. Start the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
    1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
    2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    3. From the Action menu, click Start.
