Summary

When configuring scanner options using Kofax VRS, the Advanced button does not function if .NET Framework 2.0 is installed.

Cause

VRS 4.0 does not properly support Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

Workaround

Uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 or force VRS to use the .NET Framework 1.1 for all .NET functions. For detailed instructions, please see the following Kofax Knowledge Base article:

Question: After installing the latest Microsoft Windows XP Automatic Update (which includes .NET Framework 2.0), the VirtualReScan Interactive Viewer no longer displays. What can I do to resolve this?
