Summary

The page removal process does not remove the back page when scanning in duplex.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Scanning 7.2 and Quick Fields 7.1.2. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche Scanning and Laserfiche Quick Fields.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 7.1.1 and Laserfiche Scanning 7.1.2. The fix is an updated version of LFPageRemoval.dll (last modified on April 5, 2006).

To update Quick Fields 7.1.1 or Laserfiche Scanning 7.1.2

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing an updated version of LFPageRemoval.dll.
    Hotfix_SCR25691.zip
  2. Replace the existing LFPageRemoval.dll at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LFPageRemoval with the version in the zip file.
  3. Register the updated LFPageRemoval.dll.
    1. Click Start and then click Run.
    2. Type the following and then click OK to register LFPageRemoval.dll.

      regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LFPageRemoval\LFPageRemoval.dll"

Steps to reproduce the issue

Create a page removal process set to remove page 1 and scan in duplex. Once the first page is removed, the back side becomes page 1 of the new document. If you then create another page removal process set to either remove page 1 or blank pages, this page will be incorrectly ignored.
